居合道について  About Iai-Do

居合道は日本刀を使って行う「形」の武道です。居合道まつもと塾で習う居合も決められた形を繰り返し練習します。こうすると、無理なく刀を振るのも動きも自然に出来るようになって次第に上達します。　　　初めてでもどなたでも居合が上手になる秘訣がここにあります。また、この形は急な力を入れたり急に動くこともなく、筋肉痛や怪我をすることもありません。それは、無理無駄のない合理的な動きこそが勝敗の決め手と身をもって体験した武術の達人たちが作ったものだからです。　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　「流派」とは刀や槍を扱う技術をより学び易いものにと戦いの経験からそれぞれ独自の工夫でまとめたものです。武道の他にも華道、茶道などは「カタ」として伝えられた日本独自の「カタの文化」です。このカタは基本からより高度な技へと順序だてて学ぶマニュアルと云えます。剣術修行をする中で会得したこの技を実際に使うときに思うような動きが出来ないもどかしさの原因が自分の「こころの在り方」と考えました。こうして武術は自分の内面を高める自己教育の面が強くなり「道」という精神文化が発展しました。　　　「剣道は剣の理法の修錬による人間形成の道である」と定めた剣道の理念と通じるものがあります。     　"Iai-Do" is Kata (designated motion,  form) Marshal art with Japanese sword . With practicing the Kata repeatedly, you will be able to handle the sword with appropriate minimum force and power , and feel your progress accordingly . It is key factor for everyone to make a progress and improve your Iai . You can safely enjoy Iai because the Kata does not requires sudden motion and power and hurt your muscle. You can understand that sensible and reasonable motion which was comprehended by ancient masters of arts through their experience is the key to success. School(Ryu-ha) means is a certain branch which compiles its technique with each knowhow and methodology of handling of the sword for further practice. Kata is a common historical culture not only for Iai-Do but for Japanese flower arrangement(Ka-Do) and tea ceremony(Sa-Do). When  we learn and practice, Kata will be recognized as a manual to reach high degree of skills. It is natural to feel irritation when we try to put Kata into practice. Our ancestors identified that such struggle was caused by our mental attitude. Hence Marshal arts has had self-educational aspects to cultivate deeply own mental and has been developed as a kind of spiritual culture which is described as "Do"(way). An ideology of Ken-Do "it is a footstep of personality development through the order of nature of Japanese sword." is clearly shows Marshal arts' discipline.    　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　

居合道まつもと塾の稽古は個別で自由です。武道の修錬ですが、社会人の趣味として行うものですので、到達目標を定めての強制や集団での一斉稽古などは行いません。皆さんの体力、都合、経験、段位などに合わせて経験豊かな師範による丁寧な個別指導ですのでどなたでも楽しく参加頂けます。小学生から高校、大学生、一般社会人まで男女どなたでも入会頂けます。気軽に見学にお出掛け下さい稽古会場、時間の事前確認をお願いします）                          Although it is a part of traditional Marshal Arts, the master with enough experience give you a lesson in the light of your physical condition, experience, grade (dan). You can set your target to reach and training details with your condition in consultation with the master. All range of age, gender can be enjoyed. Please feel free to contact us !

　皆さんがマイペースで稽古に取り組みます。全日本剣道連盟居合、夢想神伝流居合の基本稽古や、技の稽古を自分が行いたい自由な内容です。休憩も各自が自由に取ります。先生がいつも見守って下さり、質問には丁寧な説明と演武を何度でも見せて下さるのでわかりやすく上達が楽しいと感じます。Our training will be made based on your conditions. You can practice Kata-Keiko designated by the Japan Kendo Association, Koryu-style Kata-Keiko (passed down from predecessors) and/or individual Kata separately with your plan. You can manage your time how your spent for each Kata or To-shi keiko(run-through all Kata). The Master always pay attention to our practice and give proper, good advice with demonstration in order for us to understand and show progress easily.

Q1 居合道を始めたきっかけはなんですか ?                                                              FAQ for Our Keiko(training)                                                                                            日本古来の武器であり優れた美術工芸品でもある日本刀を持ってみたい、操作できるようになって見たいと思ったからです。                                   I was interested in Japanese sword which is an outstanding traditional arms and craft art.

Q2　痛くありませんか?　Did your have a burden ?                                    　まったくありません。形の武道ですので相手と打ち合うことがありません。決められた形の順は無理のない合理的な動きですので、ほどよいストレッチ効果で稽古の爽快感があります。 Not at all. As Iai-do is Kata Marshal arts and no physical contact, we feel great after training.

Q3　武道は怖い、厳しいイメージですが？　                                                  Ans. 叩かれたり、厳しく指導されることはまったくなく、無理なく続けられています。私のキャラから稽古中に先生から「腰！」と喝を入れられることもありましたが、それも笑いながらなので、何度もの注意にあきれてのことのようです。                                                                                        Don't you feel scary on Marshal art because of hardship, tough image?  We never have been gotten yelled. It is usual that the master give me an sharp point like "Back". But it is always with laughing because I have not been improved for a long time😄,. We watched each other to keep enough distance to avoid unexpected incident.

間隔が狭く危なくないかと見守ってもいます。

Q4　稽古がキツクありませんか ?　     Ans. 強制されていることもなく、自分のペースでの稽古ですのでキツクは感じません。稽古途中で休憩も出来、稽古会を休むことも出来ます。   Is tha practice tough?  　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　      It is easy to manage because we can practice with our condition. We take a rest periodically during the training and can make an absence when feeling not good.

Q5　剣道の経験がありませんが大丈夫ですか？　　            Ans. 剣道の経験は必要ありません。日本刀の持ち方、振り方など基本から優しく丁寧な指導です。私も剣道経験がありません。                                                                                                               Do we need an experience of Ken-Do?    It is not worry about an experience because I do not have too. The master gives us a basis like how to hold and handle a sword.

Q6　居合道の楽しさはどんなところですか？　　                Ans.単純にカッコよさです。ゲームなどの楽しさとは違う上達する達成感が得られるところです。                                       What point of Iai-Do dose attract you?                                               It is simply cool and smart aspects which is totally different from online game and we can feel achievement .

Q7　怪我とかありませんか？　                                                             Ans. 1回だけありました。その技はまだやらないほうがいいと云われましたが試した時に指を刺しました。怪我をした方を今まで見たことはありません。                                                    Did you have an incident?                                                                          I had an once. When I tried to perform a certain Kata which the master suggest not to do because it is too high for my level at those day to do. However, I never saw my colleague to have an incident so far.

2012年に入会し稽古を続けた結果、5段に合格できました。肩の力を抜き腰の安定した「上虚下実」の居合の実践が目標です。                                 Mr. Hirofumi Kajitsuka ５Grade( dan)                After 11years of training I finally passed 5Grade (dan). My goal is a performance with relax and appropriate balance on my body "Jo-kyo-Kajitsu (relax on upper half of body and keep power control on lower).

4段への受審3回目で合格できました。　　　やはり、毎回の稽古で基本を正しく積み上げることが大切と思いました。                              Mr. Isamu Miyoshi  4Grade(dan)                                I passed 4Grade in three years after obtaining 3Grade(dan). It reminds me of importance of accurate and exact practice.

全日本剣道連盟主催の居合道6段・７段審査会が7月21日(金)栃木県小山市で実施された。受審最高齢の84歳での合格は快挙です。

  • コロナ禍で懇親会を自粛していますが、こうした楽しい時間を過ごすことが出来ますよう感染対策を継続しています。Social gathering. It has been refrained since the pandemic started. We will keep counter measures in order to enjoy casual communication in addition to training.
